- Description
The purpose of this microarray is to identify genes that may be differentially expressed in M1 or M2 macrophages after treatment with CNI-1493. CNI-1493 is a known inhibitor of M1 macrophages but details of its molecular mechanism are unknown. The effect of CNI-1493 on M2 macrophages has yet to be explored, but we hypothesize that CNI-1493 treatment will attenuate pro-tumor properties of M2 macrophages....

Blood-brain barrier deterioration and hippocampal gene expression in polymicrobial sepsis: an evaluation of endothelial MyD88 and the vagus nerve
Internal Dataset- Authors

- Description
Systemic infection can initiate or exacerbate central nervous system (CNS) pathology, even in the absence of overt invasion of bacteria into the CNS. Recent epidemiological studies have demonstrated that human survivors of sepsis have an increased risk of long-term neurocognitive decline. There is thus a need for improved understanding of the physiological mechanisms whereby acute sepsis affects the...

Renal circadian rhythm dysregulation in lupus nephritis
Internal Dataset- Authors

- Description
This study examines the circadian gene expression of whole kidneys of young and nephritic NZB/W F1 mice. Young mice were harvested at 12 weeks of age. Nephritic mice were harvested 2-3 weeks after nephritis onset (>300mg/dl proteinuria) but before the development of endstage renal failure (BUN >25). Remission was induced in nephritic mice with new onset proteinuria of less than 1 week duration measured...

Extracellular CIRP Induces an Inflammatory Phenotype in Pulmonary Fibroblasts via TLR4
Internal Dataset- Authors

- Description
In order to study the connection of the enrichment of these pathways in priming the microenvironment for pulmonary fibrosis, we investigated the gene expression profile of lung tissues from mice subjected to bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis. The wild type (WT) and TLR4 -/- pulmonary fibroblasts were treated with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), 1 µg/mL recombinant mouse (rm) CIRP, 2 ng/mL rmTGF-ß1...
